Hungary’s first Hilton Garden Inn chain hotel under the name of Hilton Garden Inn Budapest City Center opens in Budapest.
Hilton, the world’s first global hotel company, celebrated its 100th birthday on Friday, the most dynamic year in the company’s history. The hotel chain, which was the first to introduce the use of air conditioners in lobbies, installed televisions in its rooms, used a computerized reservation system and even a piña colada, is now expanding its portfolio with more than 5,700 hotels in 113 countries and territories. .

The new hotel is within easy walking distance of the famous shops of Andrassy Avenue and the most important sights, the Hungarian State Opera House, St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Parliament and the Chain Bridge. The hotel has 214 guest rooms, a restaurant, a bar and easily converted conference rooms with built-in audio-visual equipment.
