In line with Hungarian trends, the number of guests of the Budapest Marriott Hotel in the Middle and Far East has increased significantly in recent months. This internationally renowned hotel is particularly popular with visitors from the United Arab Emirates, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. The highest numbers continue to be booked in Budapest from the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Canada and Australia. According to Marriott data, 50 percent of its guests arrive at the hotel for business and 50 percent for holiday purposes. 65% travel alone and only 35% visit the capital on a group booking basis.
The Budapest Marriott Hotel is an extremely popular meeting place in the capital: almost 900 events are held each year, from lunches for a few people to large conferences. The Budapest Marriott Hotel is also renewing the event level to meet the event management needs. The complete renovation of the hotel for a year and a half will end with the summer handover of the redesigned spaces. Recent experience has shown that staying at the best value for guests is not the number one priority, but the added value: their decision is greatly influenced by the extra services and exclusive deals that a third are looking for. As a result, the hotel’s public spaces are becoming increasingly popular with business visitors.
Marriott’s experience is that the M Club Lounge, which is reserved for executive rooms and suites, has a unique panoramic rooftop terrace overlooking Gellert Hill and Buda Castle. DNB Budapest, another popular service of the Budapest Marriott Hotel, will introduce its new seasonal menu in July. The restaurant, which re-opened in March, follows the latest farm to table concept and bistro trends. The interior, which features the Bauhaus style, and the international cuisine featuring exciting Hungarian flavors not only benefit foreign guests but also domestic flavors.
